To those of you wonderful people who follow my blog and those wonderful brides-to-be who are just stopping by to see if I am the right photographer for you, you may notice that the blog has not been updated in quite a while. Many weddings have been shot since the last blog post, but Cory Henry Photography is undergoing several large changes and this site has been put to the way side for there is something bigger and better in the works.

So please excuse our progress as we continue to be under construction. Feel free to give me a call to chat about your big wedding day. I would love to be a part of it. In the mean time, follow our Facebook Page to stay up to date with the new changes that will be announced in the coming months!

To keep your eyes entertained, here is a recent Birmingham wedding held at Ross Bridge Resort. That beautiful bride is my new aunt.

A million thank you’s go out to all of you who took the time to enter and share the word about this giveaway. If I had it my way, I would give all of you a ShootSac, but since I can’t, one of you lucky people is getting a new ShootSac!

These names were shuffled a million times, then some more, and then a tad more before we filmed the drawing, and even then, we shuffled a bit more. It was the fairest way possible! (And yes, those of you who tweeted, had your name in there twice!)

In lieu of Valentine’s Day and all of the delicious, fattening sweets that come along with it, I decided to post a photo or two that I took back at rehearsal dinner several months ago.

The colors fit todays occasion perfectly, and I’ll be the first to admit, that cheesecake was the BOMB…

I had two slices.

This lens was ~~for sale~~. However, it has been SOLD! Thanks to all those who were interested. I might have some other equipment available in a month or so!

I have come to the realization that it is time to part with one of my favorite lenses ever. Ever.

I recently upgraded my 50mm for the f/1.2 version, and it is time for me to let go my first ever prime lens. It sounds weird for me to be so attached to it, but it was really what jump-started my business.

It is the perfect little lens for just about anything you can think of. Its quick to focus, shoots in low light, and is the perfect focal length for any occasion.

Its great for portraits, events, sports, and even just a good lens to have on your camera for walking around/sightseeing.

I purchased the lens about 2 years ago from B&H Photo for $99. I still have the box that it came in…but for the papers, I’m not sure where those went.

As I said, I paid $100 for it, but I am only asking $65 for it now. It is in GREAT condition. Hardly even any ware on the outside. Glass is mint.
